The Originals (OGs). What's Trending at TBB?

What's Trending with Me at TBB!

Hi. I'm Carri. Let's chat a bit about what I love at TBB!

I’m always raving about the classics! That’s how it all began here at TBB. Biscotti is a family favorite, and let me tell you, I poured my heart into this—seriously, no joke! 🤣 With my Italian Dad having strong opinions about Italian food, I had my work cut out for me. I tested (countless) recipes, even my grandma’s treasured ones. Then, I thought, why not create something fresh? Guess what? I nailed it! I discovered an OG almond biscotti recipe that made my Dad toss out a compliment! (Insert mic drop).

The original Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe was a breeze! A few years back, I stumbled upon it from two amazing food bloggers and decided to sprinkle in some brown butter here, a dash more baking soda there... and voilà! A chocolate chip cookie that had kiddos raving! (and, let's face it, they are not exactly easy to win over either).

So, one random March night, I thought why not? Why not do what my amazing family and friends kept telling me to try - what's the worst that could happen? AAANNND, here we are - a year later, so much accomplished, BUT SO MUCH LEFT TO DO!

The Dark Chocolate Chunk cookie, with chunks of 60% cacao for a rich, bittersweet taste that 100% balances the sweetness of our cookie! And, don't forget that little sprinkle of SEE SALT®.  Chocoholics ENJOY!

How could I not?

There absolutely HAD to be the OG's. The Originals. A good chocolate chip cookie and the uber traditional almond biscotti. But I TBB'd it. Yes, I'm using TBB as a verb there. I had to punch up the flavor, using dark Ghirardelli chocolate chunks in the cookie and whole roasted almonds in the biscotti.

You see in all of my social media, on my website, and in these emails that my mission is big time flavor. That's not just a marketing tactic, it's actually very important to me. Pet peeve time (there are so many - like do not chew your food in my ear and throw gum away - it drives me batsh!t.) Tangent. My cookie pet peeve is actually sweetness over flavor. Adding more frosting, more milk chocolate, more dyes, more white sugar and on and on and on. Now, listen, I don't mind sugar - I flipping bake. I get it. BUT, what I'm saying is, if I say almond biscotti, YOU ARE GETTING WHOLE ROASTED ALMONDS. When a cookie is titled dark chocolate chunk, you're getting chunks of dark chocolate. I MEAN, am I right?

So - have at it! Order the OG's.

Give them a try! They did start it all at The Biscotti Box!

Indulge in our original Almond Biscotti - crispy, sweet, and perfect with a cup of coffee. A treat for your mornings, afternoons, evenings, or late night snack.  You'll Love the OG Almond.

A bit about Savidge Kitchen...
Sweeten your life with Savidge Kitchen Provisions. Hand made, small batch syrups to create your own amazing cocktails, make your morning coffee or tea a moment of Zen, or turn your favorite deserts into works of art.

From sweet to savory, coffee to cocktails, the website will give you ALL the ideas on how to use these provisions.

Check out her recipes here!

My favorite part - I can actually see the flavor bits in the syrup! (and how about that packaging - I love it). Vanilla beans in the vanilla bean syrup, mint leaves in the mint syrup! So for me, who doesn't actually want sweet, but wants flavor, these are where it's at. My afternoon iced coffee begs for the vanilla bean.

I'm eyeing that Lavender Savidge Kitchen Provision for a TBB LTO (wink wink). AND hoping she does a prickly pear...

I 🤎 these. I really do love this provisions. Sweet? Yes. Flavorful? 100% Absolutely YES, YES, YES.

And, that's why I love them in my coffee, tea, & cocktails.

My FAVE - Vanilla Bean

Chamomile & Peppermint are my favorite teas...so now, I add a little Mint Savidge Kitchen Provisions in my Chamomile... AND...Chef's Kiss!

My FAVE - Mint
