Gluten Free. TBB doesn't have anything GF. It's intentional, for now. I've held pretty strong about not coming up with a gluten free option. I've lost quite a bit of business because of it and that's OK. It's not for any other reason than this.......
There are specialty bakers that do AMAZING gluten free bakes. I'm not one of them. I haven't been able to come up with something that I think people should buy. It's really that simple. It's not my wheelhouse and there are so many GF bakers that make delectable GF desserts! It's not to say I won't do it in the future (which is a stray from what I would have said a year ago). BUT, if I do it, it would be for flavor and probably wouldn't be labeled as GF (and would NOT be baked in a gluten free kitchen). Almond flour would make for a great biscotti!
So, that's my Gluten Free stance, I love Gluten Free products (don't skip ahead) and follow a ton of Gluten Free Bakers, I'm absolutely not against it.
I've mentioned this before, one of my most favorite days of the year...Favorite Things Brunch Day...some of my absolute best friends get together for our annual Favorite Things brunch. It's usually around the holidays, we pick a maximum spend amount and buy eight of our favorite things. We started this like 100 years ago (OK not that long), but it's been a while now. One of my favorite people gave us the BEST pancake mix...and guess what. It's GLUTEN FREE.
See - I am NOT opposed to Gluten Free! I use this pancake mix ALL. THE. TIME. You know what else Wild Rye has, Cake Mixes, Frosting AND SPRINKLES! GOOD FOR YOU SPRINKLES!!

AND I could do it while being inclusive and cognizant of all the different ways we choose to eat, live, love and celebrate today. And so Wild Rye was born!
There are so many more options now than when I first received Wild Rye Baking Co. pancake mix and that makes me so happy.
